Join us for our Campus Scavenger Hunt! This is a fun, low-pressure way to explore campus and meet new people! Race other small teams to find all the campus scavenger clues, which can also be at your own pace if you're not feeling competitive. Meet at the purple couches on the first floor of Couzens Hall at 6:00 P.M. on September 3rd to participate!

Fire up for the new school year, and get on your marks! You’re warmly welcomed to Couzens Hall with an exciting evening of virtual and hands-on social games to break the ice and getting to know your resident advisors along with your Couzens! A few select video games will be played throughout the night, and a few select board games will be provided for starters. For other modes of play, feel welcome to bring your favorite games of choice to unlock more easter eggs! Event begins Thursday, September 4th at 7PM in the Game Room! 

Come join us for Jeopardy Night! Test our your trivia knowledge as you compete with other teams for ultimate bragging rights and the title of Couzens Jeopardy Champion! Meet us at the Multi Purpose Room at 8PM and feel free to bring others or come solo! Even teams will be assigned at the start of the event. 

Discover your way through UMich’s 3,000+ acre campus by joining us for a virtual campus exploration event. Participants will learn the landmarks and hidden gems of the campus through viewing a curated slideshow, including travel directions from Couzens Hall. Posters will be hung up, highlighting the spots mentioned in the slideshow and including the history of each location. A physical and digital brochure will be available for participants as a takeaway for residents. By highlighting the rich history and beautiful architecture of the university, residents will be informed and motivated to travel across campus.

Do you think you have what it takes to be crowned the BEST Mario Kart World player in Couzens Hall? Join us for Couzens Hall's first ever Mario Kart World Tournament to show you skills and prove YOU are the very best. This Mario Kart Tournament will also be a fun way to get to meet other Couzens residents and have a fun being competitive in a safe environment!

The Michigan vs Oklahoma football game will be turned on around 7:20 in the game room and students anywhere in the dorm will be able to come downstairs and watch the game, as well as eat food and have some drinks if they desire. 

Get ready to kick back, get active, and have a blast with your neighbors at our big Yard Game Night! We’ll have all the classics — kickball, football, frisbee, and plenty of other games to keep the energy high. Whether you’re looking to show off your competitive side or just want to hang out and toss a ball around, this event is for everyone. This is your chance to get outside, enjoy the fresh air, and connect with fellow residents in a fun and low-pressure setting. Don’t worry if sports aren’t your thing — we’ll have a mix of games so everyone can jump in at their own pace.

The MCard has gone missing… and it’s up to YOU to help recover it! On September 10th in the Game Room, we’re hosting an Escape Room Competition for you, your roommates, and your friends! Each team will compete to complete puzzles, riddles, hidden clues, and challenges that you and your group must solve before the clock runs out. The challenge will test your teamwork, problem-solving, and creativity under pressure. Bring your team spirit, your brainpower, and your competitive edge—let’s see which team escapes the fastest!

We’ll have painting supplies (with paper plates as your canvas), good vibes, and plenty of drinks to sip while you let your creativity flow! So bring your friends (or come ready to meet new ones) and join us for a chill evening of art, conversation, and community!

Join us for glow in the dark capture the flag! This is a fun, competitive activity to work off some school stress and to meet new people! Compete in teams to capture each other’s flag and avoid being tagged out, but with a twist: the game will be played at night, with nothing but glow sticks to make out the other players. 

Join us for a trip to the farmers market this fall! Get some fresh air with new friends before the cold weather arrives in Ann Arbor by a walk to Kerry Town! Talk to vendors, buy organic produce, plants, and fun treasures, or simply explore the venue. Meet in Palmer Lounge in Couzens Hall at 1:30pm on Saturday, September 27th and we'll head over as a group. Everyone will get a buddy or a group to stick with during the trip!

Whether they’re lifelong Lions fans or just here for the food and company. It’s not about how much you know about the sport it’s about having fun, connecting with neighbors, and creating that cozy, shared Sunday vibe that brings people together when there’s no stress from classes or assignments. At 12:45 doors open, and residents arrive, grab snacks, and settle in. "Pick the Score" game available where everyone guesses the final score.

Need a quick study break? Come join your neighbors for a lighthearted paper airplane contest in the lounge! Residents will each have a few minutes to fold their best airplane out of a single sheet of paper, then compete to see whose plane flies the farthest, the straightest, and looks the coolest. Winners will earn bragging rights, but everyone gets a chance to laugh, relax, and connect with others.
