Leila Kawar

Join us for an engaging and thought-provoking event featuring Leila Kawar, a distinguished professor and current Vice-President of the UM Ann Arbor AAUP Chapter. In this session, Leila Kawar will share personal insights on the importance of academic freedom and First Amendment rights on campus, from the perspective of an Arab-American scholar.

The event will feature an informative Q&A session, where you’ll have the opportunity to engage in meaningful dialogue and explore the nuances of free speech and academic rights in higher education.

We’ll also host a fun and interactive trivia session, testing your knowledge on Arab heritage. And lunch will be provided!
