Emily Obert

Join us for a screening the the DEI Lecture Series: Creating a More Equitable World Together. Engineers and designers create new technologies, products, structures, medicines and more, but are there ways of working that can unknowingly marginalize groups of people? Even with the best intentions, we can fall short of creating equitable change with our innovations.

Emily Obert, a leading design manager with Ford Motor Company, will introduce and guide you through the Design Justice Network principles. Expanding on the concept of inclusive design, Emily will highlight its strengths and address its limitations. Emily’s experiences as a disabled designer will challenge you to reflect on and improve your own practice and process to create a more equitable world.
