Northwood Community Center
Taylor Lewit (lewit@umich.edu)

Come with your friends and family to the Community Center to grab food and nonpartisan voting resources (registration, voter education, polling location) including FREE SWAG! Bring all your questions to Turn Up the Vote reps! Ready to vote? Skip Election Day lines and stress by taking a trip with fellow residents to the polls @ Duderstadt Center. Need some more time? Still take a trip to Duderstadt where UMich Fellows can help you make a voting plan or you can pick up an absentee ballot to take home with you. An RA will be there to help you make a travel plan to Duderstadt (walk, bus, or catch a ride on the Northwood van).

Preparing for the Walk to the Polls:

  • Confirm your registration

    • Ensure your address has been updated since the last time you moved

  • Find more information about voting outside of Ann Arbor here.

  • If you are registering in the City of Ann Arbor during the event, you will need to bring additional identification including proof of residency. Information can be found here.

    • Update your “Current Local Address” under ‘Campus Personal Information’ in the Wolverine Access portal or bring another proof of current residence

    • You will need proof of current residency and a photo ID

    • If your photo ID is not a Michigan Driver’s License, you will also need your last 4 SSN Digits to register to vote

      • Proof of current residency is needed to register to vote at the Satellite Clerk’s Office at the UMMA OR DUDE.

      • Other Proofs of Residency: You can also use an official document like a lease, paycheck, bank statement, or current utility bill that have your current campus address listed with your name.

  • If you are casting your ballot in the City of Ann Arbor during the event, you will need to bring a form of government-issued photo identification such as your MCard. More information can be found here

  • Research your ballot! Use our nonpartisan resources to make informed ballot decisions.
