Note: this is a virtual event open to students on all three University of Michigan campuses.

The United States has had two major political parties for most of its existence. Throughout the country’s history, minor third parties have coalesced around specific interests and ideologies but have rarely had major electoral success. However, third parties have helped shape the platforms of the two major parties and have affected the results of multiple presidential elections.

Join Turn Up Turnout for a nonpartisan, educational presentation to learn how Third Parties and Independent Candidates have and continue to shape politics in the United States. GIFT CARD for participants. *Please note that gift cards will not be sent immediately and will take a few weeks to process.*
