dije Community Check-Ins provide spaces to share experiences, build connections, and communicate support needed from the dije team and Marsal Community, centering specific community experiences. The dije team will provide community guidelines and a basic structure to facilitate a conversation. With that said, we hope that all of you attending will truly guide the conversation based on what comes front of mind to you!

For this event, we will center on diverse migration experiences. "Diverse migration experiences" encapsulate many things! This includes the experiences of students who spent time in their formative years in countries outside of the US, first-generation American citizens, adoptees with connections abroad, and/or holding the status of non-US citizens, including international students, refugees, asylees, DACA students, Fulbright scholars, and other relevant statuses. We want to remind all that this is a space where students will not be pressured to share their migration statuses. All are welcome to share whatever is most safe and comfortable to them.

This event is open to all Marsal Community members, including students (enrolled in an Education program OR taking at least one Education class), staff, faculty, and student-employees.
