Collaborations are essential in any field that requires group work, but collaborations are only sometimes intentional. The Group Development Model aims to help simplify chaos while simultaneously recognizing the complexity of collaborative work. The GDM aids in establishing working relationships, tapping into the group's wisdom and expertise, and designing a process for decision-making to reach successful outcomes together. Thus the GDM helps create intentional collaboration.
