Celebrate the Lunar New Year with a live introduction to the lunar-solar calendar, China's space program, star mythology, and Chinese new year customs from new moon to full moon. The key to understanding the calendrical system of Stems and Branches, the Five Elements and the Zodiac will be introduced through dome visuals and animation. Enjoy what to find in the nighttime sky and for the weeks ahead as Year of the Rabbit graces the calendar year.

The newly renovated state-of-the-art Planetarium & Dome Theater at the U-M Museum of Natural History transports visitors beyond distant stars and back in time from the comfort of reclining seats. 


Tickets will be provided FREE by Northwood and are first come first served. We will be taking the bus from 1000 McIntyre but if you are also welcome to travel on your own to the University of Michigan Museum of Natural History (1105 N University Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48109). This is a public event so please arrive on time. If you arrive late you will not be allowed to enter the show.
