Service Day 2019 View Other Sessions

The School of Public Health exists to help our neighbors near and far. Service Day puts that into practice with one mass day of volunteering on Saturday, April 13, 2019. Service Day connects the School of Public Health community - including students, alumni, faculty and staff - by promoting health and engaging the community. Groups and individuals will volunteer in their local communities while representing the School of Public Health. It is centered around a project that can help make a difference in your local community. Examples include volunteering at a food bank, painting a community center, and planting a community garden. Join us! Service Day provides students with an engaging and rewarding day, alums an opportunity to connect and build a Michigan community away from Ann Arbor, while faculty and staff support their local communities and connect outside of the office.



Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels Yard Cleanup

Yard cleanup sites TBD - volunteers will be assigned a residential home in Ann Arbor where yard clean up will take place. At 1:00 pm, volunteers will carpool to the Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels office for lunch (2025 Traverwood Drive, Suite F, Ann Arbor, MI

Volunteers will participate in spring yard cleanup for Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels clients who are homebound. Yard cleanup sites will be determined closer to Service Day. Volunteers will be assigned a residential home in Ann Arbor where yard clean up will take place. At 1:00 pm, volunteers will carpool to the Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels office for lunch (2025 Traverwood Drive, Suite F, Ann Arbor, MI 48105)

Yard cleanup will take place from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm, followed by lunch from 1:15 - 2:00 pm at the Ann Arbor Meals on Wheels office (2025 Traverwood Drive, Suite F, Ann Arbor, MI 48105). The 9:00 am start time above allows for travel time to the volunteer site.
