Vish Juvvadi

Join us for a casual meet and greet with recently returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Vish Juvvadi! Vish is a first-year Master of Social Work candidate in the Interpersonal Practice pathway and Global Activities Scholars Program and a Paul D. Coverdell Fellow at the University of Michigan's School of Social Work. Before studying at Michigan, he served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines from 2023 to 2025 as a Youth Development Volunteer. He served at a shelter for adolescent victims of abandonment, abuse, neglect, and trafficking, providing mental health services including counseling and case management tasks. His secondary work involved collaborating with a local University on an outreach project with a remote Indigenous People’s tribe. He worked alongside local leaders and university faculty to design and adapt community psychology programs that the tribe continues to use to this day. Outside of work, Vish loved learning about Filipino culture, traveling across the Philippines and around South-East Asia.

We'll provide lunch!
