School of Social Work Building Sevi Fua

Sevi is a second-year Master of Social Work candidate in the Interpersonal and Global Social Work Practice pathways at the University of Michigan's School of Social Work. Before studying at Michigan, he served in the Peace Corps as a Community Health Educator Volunteer in Togo from 2024 to 2026. His service strengthened his passion for mental health support and cultural humility, shaping his interest in community-driven mental health programming. During his service, he collaborated with a rural health clinic to co-create programs on malaria prevention, hygiene, and maternal health. He also secured a grant to create a digital learning center and provide his village with its first computers, helping over 50 people a day build digital literacy skills. Outside of the classroom, Sevi enjoys riding his bicycle and volunteering in his community.
