Cookbook Dinner (Adult Graduate Student Event)

The TFs are working on a cookbook with recipes from the graduate housing community! In order to collect submissions, we invite you to this dinner, where we request that you come with a recipe to share. Attendees can grab a plate and share their ideas via our Google form or a simple sheet of paper. Once we have enough recipes, we will compile them into a book. Because accessing and filling out the Google form may be challenging from your phone, we highly encourage you to submit prior to dinner or bring your laptop for submissions. We are looking for all kinds of submissions- family traditions, your go-to dinners for busy times, recipes that showcase your culture's cuisine. Our goal is to provide a snapshot of the culinary delights and innovations found in our community.

Join us for a performance by a Brooklyn-based choreographer, Jeremy Nedd, who is coming to the Power Center on campus! Have you ever thought about what the costs of viral TikTok dances on artists and creativity? The performance highlights issues of cultural exploitation and the dynamic of creative expression in the age of TikTok and internet virality. Meet us at the community center for light dinner and we will be taking the bus promptly at 6:15PM to the Power Center together. Join us for a relaxed and practical career event designed specifically for Northwood graduate residents (MA and PhD students across all disciplines) to help you make the most of the University Career Center’s resources before the semester ends.

This event is all about setting you up for success in a low-pressure, supportive environment. You’ll have the chance to explore the Career Center space, connect with staff, and get quick, personalized feedback on your resume or CV. We’ll also be offering professional headshots, so come dressed in business casual and take advantage of the opportunity to update your materials or professional profiles!

The Committee of Completion: Dissertation Writers Unite!

Join GRA Cassandra and TF Yamini for a book club! We will be reading the novel My Friends by Fredrik Backman, summarized as:


My Friends by Fredrik Backman follows a group of teenagers whose lives become intertwined through friendship, loss, and art. The story centers on a famous painting that captures a group of friends on a pier, and the mystery of the real story behind that moment. As the narrative moves between past and present, it reveals the struggles each friend faced and how their bond helped them survive difficult circumstances. Ultimately, the novel explores themes of loyalty, memory, grief, and the lasting impact of the people who stand beside us during our hardest times.


We will meet three times for dinner and discussion in the Northwood Multipurpose Room:
