My Friends by Fredrik Backman follows a group of teenagers whose lives become intertwined through friendship, loss, and art. The story centers on a famous painting that captures a group of friends on a pier, and the mystery of the real story behind that moment. As the narrative moves between past and present, it reveals the struggles each friend faced and how their bond helped them survive difficult circumstances. Ultimately, the novel explores themes of loyalty, memory, grief, and the lasting impact of the people who stand beside us during our hardest times.
