In this workshop, the benefits of Maizey will be explained- ranging from a Canvas course aid or the ability to index your personal Google Drive files. The workshop will demonstrate a step-by-step process of setting up a Maizey.

You will learn how to use live captions and transcriptions in Zoom, ensuring real-time accessibility during digital meetings and sessions. You’ll also learn how to add and edit captions for recorded videos using Kaltura Capture.

Mathematical equations and coding sequences have always been a source of frustration when considering how to provide accessible materials to students in Engineering courses. In this workshop, we will explore essential strategies for creating accessible documentation in STEM education, with a specific focus on mathematical equations and coding sequences. Participants will learn techniques to ensure all learners, including those with disabilities, can effectively engage with mathematical and coding content. By the end of the session, attendees will be equipped with practical knowledge and resources to transform their STEM documentation into inclusive, user-friendly materials.

Want a customized assistant for your data? Elevate your Maizey skills as we explore the art of ‘system prompting’ within the U-M Maizey interface. System prompts allow users to personalize how their Maizey will interact with end users, giving a Maizey project a custom persona.
