As an incoming student, it can feel tricky to figure out how (and when) to get an internship, and how to understand what your career interests are. You might also have questions about how your major relates to potential job opportunities.
The University Career Center is here to help you feel confident and supported with your internship search and career exploration!
During this 50-minute workshop, we will...
- Walk you through what employers look for in interns
- Help you prepare yourself to be a GREAT candidate
- Debunk common myths about majors and internships
- Guide you on how to use our resources to gain experience
- Navigate the challenges in finding internship opportunities
You should come if you…
- Are a first-year student or a transfer student
- Aren't sure when and if you should apply for an internship
- Want to know what experiences/skills employers look for and how to get them
- Have been asked at least 50 times already: “what’s your major?”
- Aren’t sure what the “University Career Center” does and how it can help you!
