RA Michelle Xiao will begin by going down before the event time to gather all the supplies and set up. After taking attendance, I will do a small check-in and explain the event. Then I will give residents some time to engage with each other, and I will also engage with them during the event. The substance behind this event targets the three objectives above. Although I will give residents the flexibility to choose, I will provide some ideas to get them going: motivational messages, self-affirmations, or messages of gratitude that they can come back to when they are feeling a little overwhelmed or stressed. At the end, I am hoping to also point them to some resources. I feel that by personally being open and addressing such a topic can encourage residents to be more open, and thus would be more likely to receive the help they need when they need it.
