Michigan University-Wide Sustainability and Environment (MUSE) Initiative: Rackham Interdisciplinary Workshop (RIW)

PhD students, together with other graduate students, postdocs, and faculty from across departments and disciplines gather often at the University of Michigan to share ideas, build collaborations, and foster innovation.  Michigan University-wide Sustainability and Environment (MUSE) gathers with the purpose to advance these broad conversations through seminars, book clubs, writing retreats, discussions, hackathons, and social events.

Bring a sustainability related book that you have read recently for discussion.  We will talk about how they frame their topic, the authors disciplinary biases, and the impact they intend it to have on their audience.  Be prepared to make a recommendation as to who should and should not read the book.
