3rd Annual Wolverine Mix and Mingle: Underserved and Minoritized Experiences
Join us on October 29th for a night of community building and networking with MI-LSAMP, Trotter Multicultural Center, Office of Academic Multicultural Initiatives (OAMI), Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA), and the Spectrum Center at the 3rd Annual Wolverine Mix & Mingle: Underserved and Minoritized Experiences!
The purpose of this event is to bring our URM/BIPOC (underserved, minoritized, and marginalized) students from across campus to come together for dinner and community building in a safe and welcoming environment. Our goals is to have students engage with each other and share their experiences as underserved and minoritized populations at a predominately white institution and HAVE FUN!
Our objectives for this event are:
- Develop a sense of community among all underrepresented minority (URM) students within our offices cohorts/communities
- Provide a welcoming and brave space for our URM students on campus to share - their experiences at a large PWI
- Increase the student's sense of belonging at the University of Michigan
- To have fun!
Dinner will be provided! In order to ensure that we are accommodating all food and health restrictions, please be sure to RSVP by October 26th by 5:00pm.
