2024 First-Generation College Student Celebration Week

The University of Michigan and the First-Gen Gateway celebrate first-generation college students November 4th - November 8th in honor of National First-Generation College Student Day! All week long, we will be putting on events to support and bring visibility to the nearly 4,000 first-generation college students on our campus.

Join us for a panel discussion featuring first-generation student alumni sharing how they navigated the unique challenges and triumphs first-generation students experience after graduation. 

This event will include a Q&A, an opportunity to learn more about our panelist's professional journeys and share career resources available to UM alumni.
