Mentoring Lenses session with the Neuroscience Graduate Program at the University of Michigan. The goal of these sessions is to help mentors gain new perspectives and be inspired by thought leaders from across the country.  Huda Akil is the Gardner C. Quarton Distinguished Professor of Neurosciences at the University of Michigan. In 2023, she was awarded the Gruber Neuroscience Prize and the National Medal of Science. Here at UM, she is well recognized as an outstanding scientist, mentor and colleague.  Join us for a conversation with Dr. Akil led by one of our NGP Graduate Students, Marcel Elkouri, about her experiences with mentorship and intersections with neuroscience.
