Summer 2024 SEAS Master Classes and Skills Workshops

This is a series of events and workshops geared towards SEAS students. Some will be Master Classes with SEAS faculty members on a salient environmental studies topic. Others will be workshops specifically geared towards building a skill or developing knowledge that will help incoming SEAS graduate students be successful as they start their degree programs.

For many years, efforts to pass climate policy have faced opposition due to economic concerns. However, alliances have begun to form between environmental advocates and organized labor, a key constituency for shaping and enacting climate policy. We will explore a few of these cases to gain insight into how labor-climate coalitions can form, and what kinds of climate policies can offer economic security for working people.
