2023 was a wake-up call when it comes to climate change. Global temperature jumped by a record amount and supercharged a record number of climate extremes and their impacts. At the same time, levels of climate action set records in the US and globally, but still not at the pace that's needed to avoid dangerous interference in the climate system - especially with respect to climate extremes, tipping points, and impacts. We'll discuss the latest when it comes to climate change, climate impacts and climate solutions, and highlight the roles that climate justice hopefully will play in speeding climate action and the energy transition, both in the US and around the globe.
