Attendees can participate in an array of sessions. These sessions are open to Student Life staff and our academic colleagues, and serve to support Student Life's 3 Year Strategic Plan.

Our inboxes are flooded with emails–so what can you do to make yours stand out? The How to Create Engaging Newsletters and Email Communications workshop is here to provide the knowledge and skills to help increase your open rates and engagement.  

In this workshop, you will learn: 

  • The different types of emails and newsletters and how to define which is right for your message
  • How to identify your audience and manage your distribution list
  • How to identify and create engaging content
  • Best practices to follow when sending an email or newsletter
  • How to understand the metrics after your send

You will also receive a toolkit that includes multiple checklists and useful tools.
