This series of workshops aims to equip you with practical skills and knowledge for the job search process. You will have a chance to learn best practices and strategies necessary to best prepare for your career and job search. Each workshop will provide opportunities to engage and learn how to develop professional skills (assessment, communication, networking). 

Aims and Objectives:

  1. To provide trainees with the tools and knowledge necessary for successful job hunting in the biomedical/medical field and life sciences.
  2. To help trainees present their skills and experiences effectively to potential employers.
  3. To boost trainees' confidence in the job search process.

Crafting an effective professional document, be it a CV, resume, or cover letter, is crucial to making a strong impression in your job search. In this workshop, we will dive into the specifics of crafting CVs and resumes that will stand out to employers and make a lasting impression.

Workshop Goals:

  • Learn effective strategies to accurately and compellingly describe your experiences and accomplishments in your materials.
  • Discover techniques to best highlight the unique value you bring to a potential employer through your CV or resume.
  • Facilitate the identification and effective incorporation of your key skills, experiences, and value propositions into your CV and resume.
