Michigan Men: An Expedition of Manhood


The Michigan Men: An Expedition of Manhood Program is looking for fraternity members to join its Winter 2019 Cohort. The Michigan Men Program’s mission is to assist fraternity members in developing concrete strategies to promote their own personal wellness (ex. mental, physical, emotional), develop strong, supportive & fulfilling relationships (ex. friendships, fraternal relationships, intimate relationships), and fraternity cultures that live out the values of brotherhood and service. Benefits of participating include:

  • Forming supportive relationships with other participants 
  • Developing actionable strategies that promote healthy relationships, consent, and good pleasure focused intimacy  
  • Identifying and practicing self-care strategies/philosophies   
  • Engaging in meaningful discussions around masculinity  
  • Developing one’s own personal definition of what it means to be a man or masculine 
  • Receiving a $50.00 Amazon gift card following the successful completion of all seven sessions 

The Michigan Men Program is a seven session, 5-15 member dialogue program. Each session lasts 80-minutes and will be held in the OSCR Conference Room (Ste. 100, Student Activities Building, 515 E. Jefferson St., Ann Arbor, MI, 48109).

The weekly Michigan Men meeting time will be based-off all members shared availability. Please disregard the specific dates listed for each session. Following the completion of the sessions page all participants will receive a link to an electronic scheduling site in order to share availability.
