This year's Social Justice Symposium will take place on Friday, March 24, at the Michigan League. This year's theme is "Deconstructing Democracy: Through the lens of ____." With this theme, we hope to create a safe space for students to share their unique perspectives on recent changes to democratic norms and institutions in America.

Panel

Our symposium concludes with a lunch and a discussion about the past, present and future of student activism at the University of Michigan. The intergenerational panel will feature both alumni and current student leaders representing Black, Queer and Indigenous students. We hope that this symposium will generate conversations and connections across disciplines and ranks to advance SCOR's goal of building a more inclusive and representative community at the University. The conversation will be moderated by SCOR’s Political Action Chair and attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions to each panelist.
