Tatyana Fazlalizadeh

Keynote Address

We are privileged to have Tatyana Fazlalizadeh as our keynote speaker. Tatyana is a Brooklyn based artist and activist. She is a former University of Michigan artist in residence and completed her residency with the University of Michigan's Institute for the Humanities. She spent a month in 2022 exploring race and gender with U-M students through her art. Her public art installation, the "To Be Heard" series, was seen all over campus. Using some of U-M's most iconic buildings, Fazlalizadeh installed portraits of students to represent their experiences and stories. We hope that Tatyana’s keynote address will spark conversation about community engagement and encourage students to think about political activism and participation in new and innovative ways
