Peace Corps Recruiters

During this session, we will hear from two returned volunteers who are currently working in the medical field. We will discuss how the Peace Corps prepared them for medical school and, more generally, a career in medicine.

Meet our panelists:

She is originally from Tucson, AZ, where she received her undergraduate degree in Women's Studies at the University of Arizona. She spent several years working for the Center for Creative Photography in fine print restoration before becoming a Peace Corps Volunteer. She served as a youth development volunteer in Northern Peru from 2008-2010, and was a PCVC in Lima, Peru from 2010-2011. Elizabeth is interested in Infectious Diseases and plans to work in the areas of global health, refugee/migrant care, and public health in her future career.
