21-22 Trotter Distinguished Leadership Series

Trotter Distinguished Leadership Series (TDLS) is designed to increase healthy discourse and learning throughout U-M by inviting speakers from the political and public service sectors of national and international note. Our goal is to bring together bright minds with talks that are idea-focused on a wide range of subjects to foster wonder and provoke conversations that matter to students.

This winter, we continue the exploration of leadership through the Trotter Distinguished Leadership Series (TDLS) with invited guests from across campus and beyond. Our themes for this semester’s events are Women in Leadership, where we hear from panelists about their experiences as leaders within the university campus community, and Intersectional Environmental Leadership, where we will hear about a diverse array of voices that lead within the field of the environment.

In celebration of Women's History Month, Trotter Distinguished Leadership Series will highlight women across the university community that are making strides within their field. Join CEO of RISE Diahann Billings-Burford, U-M Alumni Association Vice President of University Relations Ayanna McConnell, Director of the Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning Neeraja Aravamudan, and moderator, Associate Director of the National Center for Institutional Diversity Marie Ting for this discussion. We will hear about the critical work they lead within the campus community, how they frame leadership and how that shapes the approach they take for leading.
