Welcome to Michigan 2020 Staffing Needs View Other Sessions
Welcome 2020 needs your help! While we're moving away from large-scale events for this year, we'll still be present for students throughout the Welcome period in lots of different ways to help them navigate their new environment.
Specifically, our Ask Me! Info Stations are in need of your support. Ask Me! Stations are provided on the first and second day of classes to answer any questions related to wayfinding or other first-day needs. No need to worry about what you do or don't know how to answer...you'll be provided all the information you need upon arrival at your shift!
In order to keep staff and students safe, this year's stations will only be staffed by one individual at a time. Space will be created so students can connect with staff from a distance of 6ft or more. We ask that those staffing a table wear a mask (as required across campus) as well any Michigan shirt (if you have one).
Please review program dates and times and sign up for shifts you are available to work. You are able (and encouraged) to sign up for multiple shifts as your schedule allows. To navigate this sign up process, you can click into a particular day or event by using the navigation at the top of the page or click "Show All" to browse available shifts. Each day includes a brief description of the event and possible staffing roles. Please note that, upon registering, you will have the ability to note any physical restrictions or other accommodations we should keep in mind when assigning specific roles. Prior to the beginning of Welcome, the staff member or members coordinating each event will contact you with additional details regarding your shift.
Thank you in advance for your commitment to this special time of year! If you need any help navigating the sign-up process, or have questions about volunteering for Ask Me! Info Stations, please contact Stephanie Custer in the Campus Information Center sbkaufma@umich.edu or Ashley Rutledge in the Center for Campus Involvement at amrutled@umich.edu.
Thank you, and Go Blue!
