Overview: Volunteers will be sorting and processing food anywhere from but not limited to, dry box, cans, bread, produce, dairy, frozen meat and our clean room where we take bulk product and process down into smaller distribution size packaging.
Timing: Volunteer activity is from 9:00 - 11:45 am, followed by lunch at 11:45 am provided by the School of Public Health. (Please note: 7:30 am - 1:00 pm time listed above allows for travel time to and from the site.)
Dress code: It is recommended that volunteers wear casual, comfortable clothing. Closed-toe shoes are required. Jeans are acceptable -- please no holes, rips or tears; no dangly jewelry -- these are all for the safety of our volunteers.
Family: To register any family members who are interested in joining you at your Service Day site, please email Whitney Vojtkofsky (whitdix@umich.edu).
