"This session will highlight several Tableau dashboards used by the Office of University Development to manage our business and track results. We will discuss our philosophy and share a few examples.

The Annual Giving Counts Tool is essential for planning direct to constituent solicitation efforts. These projects are multi-channel (direct mail, email and phone) and require several months of planning and vendor coordination ahead of the send date. Prior to using this dashboard, project plans had to be developed based on estimates from previous projects leading to additional costs and reduced transparency with stakeholders. This tool allows for much more accurate piece count planning which saves time and money.

The Post-Campaign Report is the dashboard we currently use to track and communicate fundraising results to Development and UM leadership. This allows us to track fundraising results using multiple counting methodologies (cash and fundraising production) using a single tool. Information in the dashboard can be displayed at either the individual School/College level or University Wide allowing for greater use."
