Identity, Intersectionality, and Positionality

SEAS Student Government Identity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) & the SEAS Office of Community Impact and Engagement will co-lead this interactive workshop learning about identity, intersectionality, and positionality frameworks, reflecting on how they appear in our lives, as they relate to navigating graduate school and career settings.

All SEAS/PitE students are invited to attend. By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Describe identity, intersectionality, and positionality and how each concept relates to each other

  • Reflect on how your own identities, experiences, and positionality shape how you move through spaces

  • Apply a positionality lens to common SEAS experiences including course work, group projects, and community engagement
