public facing longer description: Explore how U-M Library spaces, services, collections, and operations support environmental sustainability across campus. Visit participating library locations to learn about conservation and materials reuse, mending and creative reuse, sustainable digital preservation, energy conservation, seed sharing, and climate-related library resources. This event is free and open to the public and there is no registration required. Buhr Building open house will be between 10AM - 12PM and Hatcher-Shapiro open house will be 12PM - 2PM.

The U-M Library Sustainability Open House will showcase how library units support environmental sustainability through everyday practices, services, spaces, and collections. Visitors will be invited to explore participating library locations and learn about sustainability-related work such as conservation and materials reuse, mending and creative reuse, digital preservation and sustainable data storage, energy conservation in library facilities, seed sharing, and climate-related library resources. The event will function as a drop-in open house rather than a single guided tour, with participating spaces open during coordinated time blocks (Buhr units: 10AM-12PM, Hatcher-Shapiro units: 12PM-2PM).
