Created by the MORE Committee, these workshops are designed to strengthen the student–faculty mentoring relationship through the development of shared expectations, sharing mentoring best practices, and understanding of mentoring across differences.


The Getting Your Mentoring Relationship off to a Good Start Workshop is attended jointly by faculty mentors and their graduate student mentees.

The Mentoring Across Difference 2.0 Workshop is attended only by faculty mentors.

The Mentoring 101 New Faculty Workshop is attended only by faculty new to U-M or starting a faculty mentoring role.

Faculty who have attended a MORE workshop in the previous academic year should feel free to attend the Mentoring Across Difference Workshop on a date that corresponds with the availability of their student mentee(s). If you are interested in attending the Mentoring Across Difference Workshop on November 6, please register for this workshop.
