Lunch and Learn: Crafting Research Impact Statements - Hybrid

This workshop is a part of a series of professional development opportunities presented by the Phillip J. Bowman Center for Scholarship to Practice for members of the Bowman Center Scholars currently working at the University of Michigan. 


This session is designed for anyone involved with writing statements to demonstrate the value of research, whether you are working on a grant proposal, promotion or tenure, or other reason. Join us to learn about some research impact frameworks and a variety of databases with metrics you can use to match your evaluation goals.

This workshop is a part of a series of professional development opportunities presented by the National Center for Institutional Diversity (NCID) for members of the Diversity Scholars Network (DSN) currently working at the University of Michigan. 


This Lunch and Learn event will provide valuable information on craft research impact statements. 


Participants will empowered to create the conditions under which they can establish:

  • An introduction to tools providing citation-based indicators.

  • Techniques for crafting impact statements that can be used in multiple settings.

  • Knowledge of evaluation frameworks with a wide variety of indicators
