The Office of Organizational Culture and Community warmly invites you to our end-of-semester “study” session. Whether or not you are studying for final exams, all UMSI students are welcome to attend this informal, quiet, co-working session. We’ll provide food from Panera to keep you focused on what matters, and a supportive environment to keep you accountable to your goal.
Feel free to come write a paper, work on a group project, review materials for a final exam, prepare for an interview, submit a job application, do some reading, or any other quiet work that won’t distract others. Please bring any technology or materials that you will need to work and focus (e.g., laptops, chargers, noise canceling headphones, books or printed materials, etc.). We will provide a digital timer for anyone interested in trying the Pomodoro Technique to boost productivity.
This event begins at 6:00pm to provide time for students to get settled in and prepared to work. Salad, sandwiches, and drinks from Panera will be available starting at 6:15pm. Quiet focus time is from 6:30-8:30pm. Drop in whenever, and leave when you need. We look forward to seeing you there and helping you finish this semester strong!
