Anne Curzan

Honors is pleased to host LSA's new dean, Anne Curzan, at the fall 2019 inaugural Lunch with Honors! Dean Curzan is an Arthur F. Thurnau Professor, Geneva Smitherman Collegiate Professor of English Language and Literature, professor of English language and literature, professor of linguistics and professor of education. A popular professor who can memorize all her students' names, a regular contributor to Michigan Radio, a former U-M/NCAA faculty liaison, and a successful athlete herself -- these just a few of things that make Dean Curzan a very cool person.

Come have a conversation with Annie Sullivan, a Michigan alum and a tech professional. Annie is a software engineer at Google. She's worked on Chrome, Web Search, Google Docs, and Google Toolbar. Her focus has been on making software faster and more reliable. Over the summer, she did a tour of duty with the US Digital Service, where she worked at the Department of Energy, Health and Human Services, and Department of Defense, helping them bring better services to the American public. Throughout her career, she's been deeply interested in diversity and inclusion in the software industry. Annie is a 2000 graduate of the University of Michigan College of Engineering.
