Transfer Transitions Winter 2026

Welcome, Winter 2026 transfer students! 

The Transfer Transitions series is aimed at supporting your transition to U-M by hosting events with different offices and organizations on campus; we hope these events will help you to connect with resources, opportunities, peers, and staff and contribute to a positive first-semester experience on campus. We are glad you are here!

Our Transfer Transitions kickoff event is the Transfer Transitions Resource Fair, where a number of campus partners will be ready to greet you and chat with you about resources they offer to transfer students. Come to connect with several campus organizations and offices, including the English Language Institute, LSA Honors, LSA Opportunity Hub, Language Resource Center, LSA Scholarships, Newnan Academic Advising, Science Learning Center, Services for Students with Disabilities, Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program, University Career Center, and many more! 

While this event is geared toward new transfer students, all U-M transfer students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please register through the Sessions link and come anytime between 1-4 PM. We look forward to seeing you at the Transfer Transitions Resource Fair!

Welcome, Winter 2026 transfer students! Join us for Transfer Transitions: Community Connections, an event for you to connect with several identity-based programs and offices around campus. 

While this event is geared toward new transfer students, all U-M transfer students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Registration is required -- please register through the Sessions link, and come anytime between 5-6 PM. Dinner is provided with registration.

Welcome, Winter 2026 transfer students! Curious about how to do research while you're here at UM? Join us for Transfer Transitions: Getting Involved in Research, an event featuring a presentation from the LSA Opportunity Hub coaches and the LSA Transfer Student Ambassadors. The presentation will cover the many different ways to get involved in research at UM, and the Transfer Student Ambassadors will share about research they've done on campus and their tips & tricks for getting started. There will also be time to mingle & ask questions after the presentations.
