Registration is necessary so that we can be sure to have the appropriate set up, resources, and food quantities for the group's size. The Cook Family Foundation will be on campus to talk to you about spring/summer fellowship opportunities in Shiawassee County and the Ginsberg Center will share information about ways you can participate in community and civic engagement, particularly in Detroit. CLOSUP is offering a term-limited research position. And we'll have application information for Student Life Sustainability and Resource Navigator student employment. Come, eat, and network!

This year-end recognition is for all Cook Scholars to celebrate everyone's accomplishments over the academic year. Dinner is provided. (Must register to attend so that we can plan buffet quantities accordingly.) Deadline to register is 3/16/26.

Meet up with the Resource Navigators!

Head out with the Resource Navigators peer team for this Welcome Week event, Michigan Recreation Expo & Well-Being Festival, Friday, August 29th. We’ll meet at the League at 3pm and walk up together to Palmer Field and check out the “fun, food, games and giveaways.” Engagement Points: 200

These are two powerhouse offices at Michigan! Beyond the Diag is a program serving students with off-campus housing and community. The Office of Financial Aid, beyond working with financial packages, offers training in preparing for and managing budgets during your student years and beyond. Come and meet Mark and Heather, network, and bring your questions! We'll be providing Subway snacks to grab and go.

Designated a study day by the Registrar's Office, we have an area in the League reserved just for Cook Scholars with cocoa, coffee & cookies, charging stations, and space for group study. Bring your MCard to check in. Following the event, the League will remain open until 10pm.

Former Shiawassee Scholars Alex Bryan, Cameron Allen, and Elizabeth Tolrud will be on hand to talk about their experiences at Michigan and how they parlayed those into award and career opportunities. You'll have time to ask questions of each panelist at the end. Event is being recorded.
