Take a break from midterm studying and join fellow residents at Spooky Night: Movie & Crafts! There will be craft stations with a variety of activities including coloring, making glow-in-the-dark slime, creating self-care treat bags, and more. Additionally, there will be a movie screening of Coraline. Refreshments will be provided!
RA Ethan will be hosting a football watch party in the Blue Apple Lounge open to anyone interested. We will be watching the Michigan vs. USC Football Game and also catering lemonade and cookies from M-Dining for all to enjoy. Bring your friends, have some snacks, sit back, relax and enjoy the game!

RA Vedanth is hosting a floor dinner for their residents on the first floor of Bursley. It would be a great opportunity for residents to gather together, sharing their experiences for the first two weeks of the college, as well as making some friends. All residents are welcome to join.
RAs of different disciplines and majors will give advice on how to build a resume to those who need help on their resume. There will be a presentation with helpful tips, career center resources, and general stories of what a successful resume looks like. There will be a review session, where session attendees can submit their current resumes for review and feedback!

Residents will be able to come out to Hubbard Field right across from Baits II to learn how to play the game of Spikeball then pair into teams for a friendly tournament where podium placers will receive a prize. If you want to show off your dorm’s style, or just want to get inspiration from others, meet on the 3rd Floor Rotvig/VH landing for a walkthrough of rooms that residents want to show off. Join RAs Sophie, Amelia, Ishaan, and Emerson for a property registration extravaganza! Stop by the Bursley Lobby to register your valuable belongings with DPSS. You can register bikes, electronics, or anything with a serial number.
The goal of this program is to collect as many rubber ducks hidden throughout public spaces in teams of 3. RAs will be meeting a couple of hours before to hide the medium-size rubber ducks in safe spots throughout public areas within Bursley. People will organize their own teams (preferably with new people) and find as many ducks as possible during the 1 hour period. At the end, ducks will be counted and the winning team will receive $5 Blue Bucks per person

Josh, Lisa, and Yatee will be facilitating an affirmations event in the Bursley lobby. Residents will be able to make affirming note cards for their friends/ themselves. Come prepared with inspirational words and mindset.

We’ll start with a bracket-style tournament, then keep the vibe lively with mini-games so no one’s just sitting around waiting for their turn at the table. Residents can rotate through challenges like the Ball Drop Reaction Test, Suite Rally Challenge, Target Toss, and Ball Bounce Tower, racking up points for their suite’s total score. There will be cookies and donuts provided!
Take a break from your busy week and join us for a relaxing evening of mindfulness and milk tea! We’ll guide you through simple breathing exercises to help you unwind, then enjoy refreshing boba drinks with your neighbors. Come de-stress, connect, and leave feeling recharged!
Join RAs Karlee, Jessica, and Kat for Thrift & Flip, a clothing swap and upcycle event! Residents are welcome to bring any clothing item to swap with others or give it a new life by upcycling it. Supplies such as sewing kits, fabrics markers, and more will be provided!
The first semester is an exciting time to take pictures. Make picture frames to decorate one’s dorm room with these pictures. Meet friends as one decorates these frames and create connections within the community.
Join RA Max in a yoga and stretching session on September 20th! Bring your friends and join the RA outside in the blue apple for an hour of relaxation. If students have a yoga mat, bring it, but if not, no worries the grass will do just fine!

RA Emerson will be hosting a card game night where all can share different standard card games belonging to their cultures or others they’ve learned! In addition to playing card games, residents will have the chance to have an open dialogue with each other and with RA Emerson about their academic paths/goals they’re setting. Come have fun with strategic academics and games, standard 52 card decks will be provided!
Blindfolded Art Challenge is a fun and creative event where teamwork and communication are key. Each pair works together with one person blindfolded as the artist, while the other guides them using only verbal instructions—no touching allowed! Teams compete to see who can create the most accurate and impressive artwork, all while laughing and testing their collaboration skills. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just in it for the fun, this event is all about creativity, communication, and a little bit of chaos.
Want to work on homework or have questions about applying to internships? Pull up to the West side open lounge and ask RA Max questions about classes or career advice. RA Max is a Junior in engineering and can help answer a variety of questions
Residents can join us for a fun-filled event playing lawn games. Depending on attendance, residents will be playing a variety of games outside like frisbee and capture the flag. It is a great time to get to know other residents while enjoying the fall weather.
Planning on listening to the new Taylor Swift album drop? Come together with RA Dana to listen and celebrate Taylor Swift’s latest album, The Life of A Showgirl, by listening to it with other Bursley Residents in the Blue Apple Lounge! Residents will have the chance to connect with fellow Swifties and enjoy the excitement of experiencing the album together on album drop-day, October 3rd at midnight! The event will also feature opportunities for discussion about the unique lyrics, and a lively, inclusive atmosphere for fans of all levels.
“Walk and Talk” is a reflective program where residents take a mindful walk together while engaging in open conversation about life, purpose, and personal values. The program creates a supportive space for residents to pause, connect with nature, and share their thoughts in a calm environment. RA Sola will provide gentle prompts to encourage dialogue, while allowing the group to naturally guide the discussion.
Want to make your own costume this year? Join RA Merc for a costume work session in the Duderstadt’s Design Lab 1 to bounce ideas off of other students and work together to get ready for Halloween! The Design Lab has sewing machines, a cricut, and various scrap materials available for use, but you should bring any specific materials you may need yourself
