F.A.M. Fridays 🥙 🎨 🎵

Trotter Multicultural Center welcomes STAMPS in Color into our FAM Friday community! SiC are a group of artists, designers, and creatives of color whose mission is to increase the creative, social, and professional opportunities for students, graduates, and faculty of color at the Stamps School of Art and Design. Striving to provide a space to delve into and react to diverse topics, entertainment, and endeavors pertaining to issues of race and ethnicity as well as intersections with other social identities.

SiC will be leading a Paint n’ Sip based on one of their member’s line art drawings. We hope to create a fun and relaxing space for students to indulge in creativity and explore beverages from other cultures. Supplies will be provided to those that register.

Join the F.A.M. Fridays community! We will be enjoying music from the African Diaspora, while eating Satchel's BBQ! Attendees will also, have an opportunity to craft with beads by making bracelets, waistbeads, etc.

Join our organizations as we celebrate Latinx culture in Trotter! Be integrated in community, eat delicious food and get ready to dance! We will have a dance instructor teaching us how to cumbia & bachata while listening to vibrant music. Participants will have a chance to create their own art by carving their own stamp designs and using ink and paper to print and take home.

We will be enjoying Chela’s Restaurant & Taqueria during the event as well!

FAM Fridays is a series that will celebrate culture through Food, Art, & Music on one Friday of each month. We will explore the different foods our campus community and larger Ann Arbor community has to offer. The series will also showcase student creativity through art and music. This series is meant to amplify students from marginalized communities and build community through programming.

On April 14th from 2:00-4:00 PM in the Sankofa Lounge, we would like to highlight the poetry, essays, and music of University of Michigan STUDENTS, FACULTY, and STAFF of diverse social identities. If you're interested in performing, sign up with the link here!
