CIS Abroad provides study abroad programs and international internships in Africa, Asia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America and is still accepting applications for many programs taking place during the Winter 2023 semester. Note that studying through CIS Abroad would be consider studying through a non-UM program. Please contact the International Center for more information about the implications of this.

Additional Opportunity: Staff from CIS Abroad will also be hosting an optional in-person drop-in advising opportunity on Wednesday, October 5th from 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Ann Arbor Coffee Roasters. Come enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee and get your questions answered. Look for their orange table cloth when you arrive at the coffee shop!

Interested in teaching English in Spain? In the North American Language and Culture Assistants Program (NALCAP), you will get to know the people and culture of Spain while improving your Spanish and contributing to the Spanish education system as a cultural ambassador!

Language and Culture Assistants, or auxiliares, are college students and graduates who work for an academic year at elementary and secondary schools in Spain to bolster language programs under the supervision and guidance of Spanish teachers.

NALCAP is administered by the Education Office of the Embassy of Spain, who has offered to give U-M students an info session on the program. For more information about the program and eligibility requirements*, please visit here.

*Although current college sophomores, juniors, and seniors are eligible to participate in the program, most NALCAP participants teach abroad after they graduate.
