CMB 50th Anniversary Celebration RSVP

The Myron Levine Lecture will be given by Dr. Erika Holzabaur from the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Holzabaur's talk is titled "Actin dynamics regulate spatial mixing of mitochondria in dividing cells and mitochondrial homeostasis in interphase cells". Her lab studies the cell biology within the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, researching molecular motors and the cytoskeleton, autophagy and mitophagy, the cell biology of the neuron, and neurodegeneration.

This panel consists of three CMB alumni who have taken different paths to their current positions in the industry. We will learn about the steps they took after graduating -- focusing on their postdoc positions and job search -- and how they feel their path helped them find a place in the industry. We plan to have the panelists share a bit about their current positions and how their training prepared them and to offer advice for current students/postdocs. This panel will be Q & A format, giving the audience an opportunity to ask any questions they may have.
