Meet RAs Mobadewa and Evan in the Bursley lobby at 10:30am as they take the bus to Central Campus and walk to Nichols Arboretum. Following the event, residents will be encouraged to get lunch or a light snack at the Mosher-Jordan Dining Hall. Those interested in joining the RAs at Mosher-Jordan Dining Hall will return back to Bursley with the RAs; those not interested in dining at Mosher-Jordan Dining Hall will return to North campus on their own.

RA Jenin is hosting this program to allow residents to get to know their roommates better, form an open line of communication between each other, and set boundaries that match each resident's comfort. RA Ibrahim hosts Agreements & Quesadillas to give residents a space to discuss roommate agreements to create collective expectations and establish boundaries early in the school year to promote healthy communication!

RA Mercedes is hosting an Indie Game Chat & Share to get residents together to chat about our favorite games, play a few short form games, and leave the program with some new game recommendations! 

RA Weijia will lead you on a tour of the Michigan Bursley dining hall and will discuss the different food options available. Followed by this, there will be a community dinner where residents can chat with their floormates and meet new people while playing board games and card games! 

RA's will host a watch party, where there will be popcorn provided, and will watch the Chiefs vs. Chargers game on tv.

RA Samuel, RA Biplav, and RA Evan are hosting a FIFA tournament where they will put residents into brackets; from there, the tournament will commence in bracket style game play until a winner is crowned! Kettle chips provided! $10 in Blue Bucks to the winner of the tournament!

This event hosted by the Bursley DPEs (Diversity Peer Educators) Ati and Aminata and in collaboration with RA Jenin and Daniel will serve as an opportunity engage with each other as well as the DPEs to feel more welcome and included in the community. All games relate back to social justice and awareness of culture. The more games that the residents win, the more stamps they receive, and the more stamps they receive the bigger the prizes!

RA Ibrahim will facilitate a hike on Cedar Bend! Meet in Bursley Lobby at 11am and walk to entrance to Cedar Bend trail near Baits; you'll learn a few fun facts about the area and what is around the Cedar Bend trail in addition to learning a walking route to Central Campus!

RA Dorian is hosting a game night for residents to help to build an interactive community in a fun way that everyone can enjoy! The game night will include both card and board games and will be located in the 6th floor Douglas Lounge. Games will be set up on multiple tables and everyone will have the opportunity to play whichever game peaks their interest with a group!

We will have roommates settle in with each other, start off with basic discussion questions about what they need and want as a roommate, what kind of boundaries they want to set, etc. Will also go over roommate agreement forms and help them fill it out.

Meet RA Parker in the 3rd floor lounge on the East side of Bursley! From there, as a group we will walk to the bell tower. When we arrive, we will ascend to the top of Lurie Tower to listen to the carillon (bell tower) performance and take in the views of North Campus! 

Join RA Lisa and RA Sasha to have a relaxing break from school and make pipe cleaner flowers! They will have printed instructions for various flower designs, and residents can pick out their pipe cleaners and make their flowers!

RA Forrest is hosting a take-to program to Walgreen for Professor Adam Unsworth's performance on French Horn! At 7:45 pm, meet Forrest in the elevator lobby to walk together to Walgreen!

Roommates are able to fill out their roommate agreements together, and ask questions in an open environment. They will also be able to make bracelets together as a further opportunity to connect.

Join RA Evelyn and RA Parker in the Bursley lobby by 2 PM, and then together as a group walk to the Glazier Way lot to attend the Bus Roadeo!

RA Paige will introduce residents to the eight dimensions of wellbeing and host interactive activities, paired with sharing resources and tools that residents can apply to their own lives!

We're going to meet up in the Design Lab, brainstorm halloween costume ideas, and then get started on making them. I might put on a presentation to generate ideas on the presenter station at the start, then I'll let participants mingle and do their thing.

Join RA Samuel, RA Biplav, and RA Evan in the Bursley Lobby at 5:45pm to travel on a Bursley-Baits bus by 6pm. The group will arrive at the CCTC by 6:15pm at the latest, and walk to the Ambatana Lounge in South Quad. Engage in the scheduled programming and enjoy any snacks/food/beverages provided. After the event’s conclusion, residents may return with the RAs.

Join us for a relaxing study session with Hot cocoa, Tea, and sweet treats!

RA Sasha and RA Ibrahim invite residents to the event to study for their midterms with their RA’s! This is an open space to ask questions on subjects/classes/school/life/resume help/anything in general as well as focus together as a group and get work done!

RA Dorian is hosting a program where residents can build their own care bags in West Open Lounge using a variety of study essentials (ex. pens, flashcards, etc.) and personal wellbeing supplies as well as resources from Wolverine Wellness! Residents can decorate bags with autumnal themed stickers. Afterward, residents are encouraged to join one another in the MGS Lounge for designated quiet study session.

Join us for a fun fall evening in the Thieme Theater! Beginning at 7pm, we will be watching Coco to celebrate the spooky season. Popcorn and drinks provided!

Meet RA Colin in the lobby of Bursley; from there as a group, you will go to the Bursley CLC for a study session in the newly renovated CLC! 

RA Ibrahim is hosting a rock painting event! When you arrive, you can choose a rock (or maybe two!) and paint/decorate them however you see fit!

RA Paulina hosts this de-stress event where residents can express themselves creatively and connect with others as they color on printed coloring sheets provided throughout the lounge!

RA Daniel is hosting this event for residents to pop-in and play board games and connect with other residents in the hall! You are free to bring your own games to play with others, and there will be board games provided as well.

Join us for a fall semester reflection session! Collaborate with fellow residents to set midterm goals, create a vision board, and uplift each other as we navigate college life.

We will set up multiple card games in the lounge and move from table to table, sparking conversations as we go along. We will also set up team card games to foster teamwork and friend-making. We want the residents to be actively engaged in the event.

I plan to advertise heavily for my residents to attend the LGBTQ+ resource fair event by posting flyers around the hall and sending messages to my residents. I will give residents the option to meet me at the fair, or travel by bus together by meeting at the bus stop @3pm. Since this is a resource fair, I would also encourage students to also just go on their own time if they feel uncomfortable traveling in a group, and let me know if they attended / if they found it useful.

We will create fun trivia questions regarding the policies of the CLAM and have students get into groups and give their best answers. It will be a good opportunity to clear up any confusion students might have regarding CLAM policies. We will also have food for them to enjoy while they are playing. We want students to feel very comfortable with the Community Living requirements so that they have knowledge of what to do if something is a CLAM violation.

Join RA Matt for a Take-To program to the MPowered Innovation Challenge in the Duderstadt building where student groups will be presenting their inventions! We will be walking from the Bursley lobby to the Duderstadt building; meet at the lobby at 4:45pm!

Meet RA Paulina in the lobby of Bursley 8:30pm; from there, the group will take the bus down central campus. We will see a planetarium demonstration at Angell Hall Planetarium! 

Looking to do a closet purge? Join your RA's to upcycle or donate your closet rejects and promote sustainability in the hall!

RA April will have some some slides with  resources listed. Resident are also encourage to connect with RA april with any questions/ advice they may need. ; It will be a quiet environment and their will be some calming music if requested. Residents are free to stay as long as they want (past the event time). 

Residents are to meet RAs involved in the Bursley Lobby at any point between 8:00pm and 10:00pm. This event is meant to be done in a stop-by. Residents will approach the RA table, take a brief (3-7 question) refresher quiz on various CLAM policies. RAs will educate residents following any incorrect answers. All participating residents are welcome to a cookie. Upon quiz-completion and cookie-reception, residents are free to go about their business, but are more than welcome to mingle.

For the "Capture the Flag in the Grove" event, I envision creating a thrilling, Halloween-themed experience that combines fun with teamwork and strategy. Here’s the plan for how it would unfold from start to finish:Arrival: The event begins with participants arriving in the lobby by 9pm. Team Assignment: Colors are distributed so that the teams are roughly equal in size. Friends are encouraged to stay together. Rules Overview: Once teams are set, everyone will gather for a brief but clear explanation of the rules of Capture the Flag, along with a safety briefing. Walk to grove: As a group Play the game: Most likely at least 3 rounds (in keeping with previous years) End game: Thank folks for coming out.

This will be a take-to event and tour of the iconic North Campus bell tower. I will be giving a series of recitals this year based on influential female artists from the past 100 years, and this event will be an opportunity to engage with that music as well as learn about one of the most iconic buildings on north campus (that is often kept locked up!)

RA Erin is hosting a program to draw a small Henna design on resident's hands with henna and offer to teach the residents how to do it themselves. There will be an educational presentation on the celebration of Diwali as well! Only 12 spots available for this program, and registration is required!

Join RA Paige in the Bursley lobby at 1:20pm to take the bus together to the Kelsey Museum of Archeology for a free guided tour of items from different cultures!

Join RA Maya for a game night! There will be several options of different board games/card games, and RA Maya will help teach residents how to play the games!

Come take a break from studying to decorate and eat some cookies with your fellow Bursley dwellers!

RA Matt is hosting a program in the Bursley main lobby to decorate 3D printed masks! Register to get a free mask, otherwise masks will be handed out on a first come first served basis!

In the Bursley lobby we will have various activities such as a costume contest, bingo, and so on, all with prizes such as candy and blue bucks. Each RA will have their own station with activity. Residents will be able to rotate freely, and be involved as much as they'd choose.

Join RA Colin in MLK Lounge to relax and enjoy quesadillas on Halloween Night! This will be a no pressure environment and anyone Bursley is welcome to stop by.

Join RA Paige and come to East Open Lounge to grab a cookie, explore intellectual wellness, and de-stress through Fall themed puzzles and crafts. Free cookies provided, first come first serve!

Join RA Maya in the dining hall where we will eat dinner together as a floor and play board/card games!

RAs Evan, Samuel, and Biplav are hosting a Super Smash Bros video game session in the East Open Lounge! November 5th is election day. Come and de-stress from politics! There are enough controllers for four players to play at once, and games will be short, so that no one is waiting for too long. Everyone is welcome! Bring your friends!

RA Lisa is hosting a game night with a variety of games available in the 3rd Hamilton/Sanford lounge. Bring some friends (or meet new ones!) and have fun! All houses are welcome.

Join RA Paige for a Therapy Dog program! Residents will register in advance to visit with a therapy dog to destress following the election. After their turn, students can get resources from Wolverine Wellness and the Office of Conflict Resolution to help with ongoing support students may need. 

Meet RA Jenin in the CC of Bursley and take the Bus down to central to walk to the UMMA. We will walk through the exhibit, talking about the art and how everyone feels about the exhibit!

Join a Bursley RA Karlee to explore the campus farm stand together! We will meet in the lobby at noon and take the bus to the farm stand on Central together. Residents will learn about the campus farm, student sustainability efforts, and have the opportunity to buy fresh fruits and veggies!

Join RA Forrest to see and hear Lon Mitchell perform a 30-minute recital on the Lurie Carillon, featuring 60 bells. Visitors can take the elevator to level 2 to view the largest bells or level 3 to watch the performance. No tickets required.

Join RA Colin to hang out in the MGS lounge to enjoy some games and cards! Connect with other residents in Bursley and learn new games!

RA Daniel is hosting an UNO Tournament in the Blue Apple Lounge! Participants will go head to head with others in games of 4. Food and drinks will be provided for attendees. The winner will get  $10 of BlueBucks as a prize! 

Come join RA Adam for a meal! Come and go as you please but their will be a large table reserved for the floor. Hope to see you there! 

I plan the event to be quite loose start to finish, with residents coming as going as they please. I plan to reserve a long table on the east side of the Bursley dining hall.

Meet RA Paulina in the Bursley lobby at 2pm, and then take the bus down to Hill Auditorium around 2:30. The concert is free at Hill Auditorium; students can then choose to either ride the bus back to Bursley or stay on central campus after the concert.

Join RA Dorian on World Kindness Day to write a few nice words of gratitude to the Douglas 6th floor facilities personnel. During this time, RA Dorian will show a slideshow on trash/recycling and bathroom etiquette to maintain floor etiquette with the goal in mind of being kind to one another within the community and being mindful of the community appearance and cleanliness.

RA Jenin is hosting a program in the MLK Lounge that features a presentation from Org that will educate residents about the history and share about the culture of Palestine. 

Join RA Adam, RA April, RA Ellie, and RA Erin for a a take-to event and tour of the iconic North Campus bell tower. RA Adam will be giving a series of recitals this year based on influential female artists from the past 100 years, and this event will be an opportunity to engage with that music as well as learn about and tour one of the most iconic buildings on north campus (that is often kept locked up!).

A team of RAs will host the event in a fairly high-stress period so residents can de-stress in a way that celebrates Asian culture. We will provide bubble tea and origami, as well as information that describes their cultural ties and origins. We will also encourage participants to collaborate with origami and talk to one another.

RA Parker will be in the creative suite to greet residents and manage the distribution of cookies. There be signs made for different subjects so residents can find other people studying the same thing. I.e, a physics sign for people studying for the physics midterm. I will try to direct people to the stations where they can get the most relevant help. I will try to give advice if people ask for help but my ability to do so is limited by the stuff I actually know. If folks have greater experitece we hope your share it with the group. I want residents to have a chance to study with their peers in a relaxed environment. 

RA Matt is hosting a friendly billiards tournament in the East Lounge! Games of straight pool will be available, though 9-ball variations are also available if participants would like. All residents are welcome to attend regardless of experience level, and cue sticks will be provided!

RA April Feng is hosting an interactive study session in the East Lounge! There will be different study areas: a silent table, a collaborative working table, and a study break table. There will also be cards and games provided as a fun break between studying.

Presentation Night is a night where residents can make a google slides presentation on something they like/want to talk about, kind of like the "Roman Empire" talks at the start of our MNMs. I'll make a google form for people to sign up to present ahead of time. Then, we meet in the Creative Suite and take turns presenting. LAE has done this in the past, and presentations included "Ranking Types of Pizza", "The Science of Running Through Walls", and "Bionicles Lore Summarized". I expect similar presentations this time around.

Come have FloorsGiving dinner with RAs Evan, Samuel, and Biplav, before the Thanksgiving Recess! We will be sitting at the long table in the East Dining Room of Bursley Dining Hall. If it is closed, we will be sitting at the long tables in the West Dining Room. Everyone is welcome! Bring a friend and come make some new ones!

Residents will come and get refreshments while taking a provided quiz on how they naturally deal with conflict. They will then take the answers to that quiz and map out a plan for how to deal with any potential family conflicts during Thanksgiving. They will make a hand turkey, and each feather will have a plan of action for a potential conflict that they think will be brought up during family events.

RA Evelyn is hosting this event as a starting point to have a discussion on backpacking! Attendees are free to show their schedule, ask for help and advice, and/or come just to check in with other people. As this event is at the end of the semester, it will serve as a check-in point with all of the attendees to reflect about the past semester and what they'd like to see in the next one.

Join RA Karlee for a silent reading book club event! Residents are to bring their own book, read silently together, and then talk about their books together in this no pressure, no commitment book club. Pastries and tea will be provided to encourage a relaxing, peaceful environment. 

Join RA Biplav for a study session at the Blue Apple Lounge as we prepare for exams! Warm up with some hot cocoa, connect with friends, and get ready for winter with a productive, relaxed atmosphere. Bring a study buddy and make the most of this finals season!

Wormax Fun Time! is a casual gaming event where residents bring their own laptops and join a shared game lobby in the Bursley lobby. RA Forrest will start off with a quick game explanation, and then everyone will join the same game room. Participants will compete to grow the biggest snake; the top 3 players will receive a prize!

RA Moby is hosting a ping pong tournament in the East Lounge of Bursley! There will be a tournament bracket and RA Moby will officiate each of the games. Ping pong balls, paddles, and music provided!

Residents will come to the Creative Suite to reflect on the semester with RA's and their peers as well as get help planning for next semester with atlas.

RA Paulina is hosting a Bursley Kahoot Night! Make a Kahoot you want to share with your fellow residents and send it to RA Paulina for pre-authorization before the event. From there, bring your friends to play the different Kahoot games!

Join RA Cali in visiting the Kelsey Museum of Archaeology to participate in their drop-in tour about dining in the ancient world! Focused on the people of ancient Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome, we will learn about the food and drink that they had. We will meet in the Bursley Lobby at 1:20 and leave to take the bus to central campus at 1:30.

RA Daniel is taking a group to Thanksgiving Lunch at Mosher-Jordan Dining Hall at 12:00pm on 11/28. Meet RA Daniel in the Bursley Lobby before catching the bus to Mosher-Jordan Dining Hall and getting a table to eat together!

Join RA Dorian for a watch program as we cheer on the Wolverines taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes! The event will start at noon in the Bursley MLK lounge. Feel free to bring your homework, or bring a few friends to enjoy the game together!

RA Evan is hosting a winter closing floor meeting in the Blue Apple Lounge from 4:30pm to 6:00pm, followed by a meal in Bursley Dining Hall. Bring your friends to learn about the best practices of leaving your dorm room for winter break, tips for exam-prep and studying, as well as engaging in fellowship and bread-breaking with other members of the Bursley Community!

RAs will create a study space for residents before final exams, providing Lassi to de-stress and appreciate Indian culture. An info sheet about Lassi will also be provided, and will include a recipe.

RA Colin Badgero is hosting a hall dinner in Bursley Dining Hall for residents to connect, relax, and take a break for dinner amid finals!

RA Biplav is organizing a group from Bursley to attend a fun-filled Connector Game Night! Meet in the Bursley lobby at 5:30 PM to head to the Connector together. Enjoy a variety of games, bond with fellow residents, and make new friends during this exciting event!

RA Paige is hosting a Financial Wellness presentation in collaboration with the University of Michigan Credit Union. Come to the Blue Apple Lounge to learn about essential skills and knowledge for college students such as credit, budgeting, mistakes to avoid and more! 

Join 4th Floor Van Hoosen and RA Brennan in a chill Euchre Game night! We will be in East Open Lounge on December 10th at 8:30 PM for anyone to join! Enjoy the age old classic Michigander card game Euchre. Come regardless of skill level! Come to learn and have fun!

RA's Samuel and Maya are hosting an end of semester event to be had during their hall meeting. The purpose of this event is for relaxation and comfort and possible reflection about the things that were done this semester. The event is meant to bring peace before the storm of final exams and encourage the residents to find comfort in the midst of their peers. RA Jenin is hosting an interactive study session in the 6th floor Bartlett lounge! There will be tables and chairs set up to study at, couches to take a break, and a snack table to grab a snack while working. Cookies and Hot Chocolate will be provided for this event. 

RAs Evelyn and Lisa will be holding a closing meeting / hot cocoa event for residents. Sanford floor 3 and Hamilton floor 4 residents will be required to attend this meeting for information on closing, and are welcome to stay to make themselves a cup of hot cocoa. All residents are welcome to stop by and enjoy some hot cocoa!

RA Matt is hosting a community get together in the 6th floor Douglas lounge after the winter closing hall meeting. It will be a great opportunity to hang out with fellow residents and mentally reset/prepare for semester finals! Cookies and hot chocolate will be provided!

RAs Daniel Hoover and Parker Newell are hosting a social in the Blue Apple Lounge. Come and enjoy a fun social event with Bursley residents before the end of the semester! There will be games and pizza provided for attendees!

RA Erin is hosting a candy gram event following her floor's end of the semester meeting. Candy grams can be written out to friends with a small message to celebrate the holidays! Residents will deliver the candy grams themselves to their friends/roommates/etc.

Join RA Cali in visiting the "A Gathering" exhibition at the UMMA! We will meet in the Bursley lobby at 10:30 and travel to the UMMA together. At the exhibit, we will be able to "reflect on how global migrations, race, gender, and ecological change shape the way we engage with the world and inform our visions for the future" with the art pieces.

RA Abigail is facilitating a yoga follow along from Youtube video of a professional yoga session. The LAE Creative Suite has yoga mats for people to use, or bring a blanket or pillow for yourself.

Meet RAs Evan, Biplav, and Samuel in the Bursley Lobby by 9:00am to travel to central campus and attend the 2025 Martin Luther King Jr. Day Symposium Keynote! The Keynote is in Hill Auditorium. You do not want to miss out on this event! This is a great opportunity to learn more about the pursuit of justice and equality for all in the 21st century! Afterward, residents have the choice to travel back to Bursley with the RAs.

RA Jenin is hosting a Take-To program on 1/20! Join RA Jenin in going to the Bursley DPE MLK Student Workshop event in the MLK Lounge to celebrate and discuss Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and his influence on activism!

Welcome or welcome back to Bursley 6VD! Whether you have a new roommate or not, come with them to the Blue Apple Lounge to discuss expectations you have for each other this semester. A sample Roommate Agreement template and cookies will be provided! This is not mandatory, but very helpful for ensuring each roommate has a successful semester. Also, roommate pairs who submit a completed agreement by midnight will be entered into a raffle for free vintage Bursley shirts! RA Paige will be present to help answer questions!

RA Mercedes is hosting the Roommate Game, a trivia game about how well you know your roommate! Roommates will participate in teams against each other to see who knows their roommate best. This event will be held in the Blue Apple Lounge

RAs Paulina Graham, Parker Newell, and Daniel Hoover will be hosting a Bob Ross Painting program in the Bursley Creative Suite. Residents can come to paint in the style of Bob Ross to relax and unwind!

RAs Evelyn and Lisa will be hosting a celebration for Lunar New Year! It will be held in the Blue Apple Lounge and consist of creating traditional red banners! Spring rolls, chicken lo mein and fortune cookies will be provided!

Join RA Brennan in the Blue Apple on January 30th at 7 PM to celebrate the Chinese New Year with some traditional Origami! Origami is a simple and relaxing activity that has persisted for many centuries and is a staple of traditional Chinese heritage. Don't worry if you have never done Origami before, there are easy designs that take only a few minutes for even the newest paper folders. RA Brennan is also skilled in origami and would love to help you take home a beautiful piece of Origami!

Have you ever written and sent a letter by hand? Learn how, and have the opportunity to design your own card to send to friends or family in your hometown. Postage stamps and stationary will be provided.
