Cafe & Ciencias: Breaking language barriers in science communication

We're happy to continue our event Cafe & Ciencias (coffee & science) in collaboration with UofM Puentes. Cafe & Ciencias is a unique space designed to address language barriers in scientific communication, where you can share your research in Spanish. 

Attached here is a google form (you can also click the link on the flyer) where you can submit your intent to deliver a 10-15min oral presentation on your work! The event is scheduled for Wednesday 4/15 in the Rackham West Conference Room from 11:30 am-1:00pm. Anyone is welcome to attend and show support to your colleagues and friends. 

We're going to have some pastries and coffee during the event.

Hello SACNISTAS!

We are super excited to announce the launch of our seminar series: Cafe y Ciencia: Conectando Mentes Hispanas. 

Remember those times you wished to engage with fellow Hispanic communities (i.e: your spanish-speaking family), but were unable to explain your science in Spanish? This is a first-of-a kind experience where you will develop skills to share your scientific progress in another language.

This is a space where the scientific community at U-M can not only present their research in Spanish, but also to foster peer mentorship, and build confidence in communicating scientific ideas in Spanish. 

The seminar series will take place from 4:00 - 5:00pm at the following dates and locations:
February 27th - THSL 2901
March 20th - THSL 5320
April 24th - THSL 5340
