In this training, you will learn to: 

  1. Use the Shared Hiring Philosophy as a guide to creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive search Experience a process framework that supports equitable candidate selection from preparation to onboarding 
  2. Conduct behavior-based interviewing 
  3. Create a team-oriented approach to an effective and positive candidate experience
Through demonstration and hands-on practice, this course will serve as a guide to help you through the experience of being part of a search committee team.

This training, intended for search committees, hiring managers, and search chairs in Student Life, is strongly recommended before beginning your search process. We will cover everything, from what to do when you have a vacancy (or a new position) on your team, to how to review applicant materials in a fair and equitable way, to interviewing techniques, and onboarding best practices. Come ready to discuss and participate!
