I am inviting residents to share where they grew up. Especially with where my board is positioned by the 6th Palmer/ Angell elevator, residents often look over at my board when they are bored and waiting for the elevator. Not only does this serve as a place for students to share that information with each other, which allows for connection within the 6th Palmer community, but it also serves as a conversation started for anyone waiting for the elevator, regardless of if they feel comfortable writing that information on the board.
I hope residents gain a better understanding of each other, both from reading what residents have already written and talking to each other about the prompt. I also hope to provide an easily accessible place for residents to find the resources they will be likely to need but unlikely to otherwise encounter in their first few weeks on campus, in addition to the ones they will see more often, such as CAPS and DPSS.
