Stepping Off of State Street

Feel like you spend all your time walking between your classes or just stuck on State Street? Wondering what else is out there that makes Ann Arbor such a great place to go to school?

Join the Transfer Student Ambassadors for a series of activities and exploration outside of the normal student haunts that we call Stepping Off of State Street.

The largest juried art fair in the nation, the Ann Arbor Art Fair features nearly 1,000 artists and a footprint spanning 30 city blocks in downtown Ann Arbor. Join us for a walk through the Ann Arbor Art Fair! With blocks of artists' tents and various mediums of art, there is much to explore and enjoy.

We will meet up in the Transfer Student Center for a brief discussion on the Ann Arbor art scene and how the Art Fair fits in, and then we'll step out into the art fair together.

We plan to meet at the main entrance of the museum (you'll know it's the main entrance by looking through the glass doors and seeing the mastodon!) by 12:45pm as our tour will start at 1pm. If you are coming by car, we recommend parking at the Palmer structure. If you'll be taking the bus, the museum is near the Central Campus Transit Center, which is serviced by Routes 23, 62, and 32. Can't wait to see you there!
