We will gather in the Comparative Literature Conference Room for our first meeting of the year. We will have refreshments and spend time getting to know each other while discussing our first readings of the semester. Please read "How Did We Get Here?" by Kirk Ormand in the Routledge Handbook of Classics and Queer Theory as well as an additional chapter of your choosing and come ready to discuss how the themes are relevant to your interests, work, or what you hope to get from being part of the RIW this year.
